Palabras fundacionales… Mario Saiz en  I Congreso Latinoamericano 1998

• Se ha iniciado un movimiento, un proceso, en el cual este encontrarnos es sólo el primer fruto de lo que podemos cosechar juntos.
• He propuesto al Comité Científico y al Comité Organizador la realización de una Reunión Fundacional de lo que en principio se denominaría Comité Latinoamericano de Psicología Analítica, con el objetivo de impulsar, en este inicio, el trabajo de difusión, profundización e investigación en torno a núcleos temáticos que orientan este evento.
• Es un encuentro de símbolos, de imágenes y afectos, de pensamiento e intuiciones. Tenemos una motivación muy definida por lo latinoamericano y por el desarrollo de una Psicología Analítica en América Latina, una psicología comprometida con esta encrucijada de culturas, de memorias colectivas, de anclajes territoriales, que configuran desde siempre los contextos del alma de América Latina.
• Esperamos que este encontrarnos posibilite que el Self latinoamericano se exprese y sea escuchado por todos nosotros, para poder realizar un auténtico y verdadero aporte a la alteridad de Latinoamérica.

Desde esas palabras y a lo largo de una década, se han desarrollado 4 Congresos, a saber:

• El V Congreso es Latinoamericano y le precede una historia de la cual nos hacemos cargo y sobre la cual aportaremos nuestra particular idiosincrasia.
• Tiene tras de sí una visión común y se aterriza en un formato expresión de la misma.
• Constituye un desafío y una oportunidad para el Grupo de Desarrollo, organizador y sede. Es un espacio concreto de encuentro y trabajo conjunto que nos puede ayudar en la tarea de  con-formarnos como grupo de trabajo, crecimiento y reflexión, dentro de nuestra diversidad.
• Nos permite seguir en la tarea de dar a conocer y posicionar a la Psicología Junguiana en Chile.
• Convocar y trabajar en un objetivo común con otros/as  Junguianos  que no participan del G.D

“It is an encounter of symbols, images and affection, of thought and intuitions.  We are clearly motivated by that which is Latinamerican and for the development of Analytic Psychology in Latin America, a psychology involved in the crossroads of cultures, collective memories, territorial settlements, that, since the beginning, conform the contents and context of the Latinamerican soul.

Our hope is that in meeting together we can facilitate the expression of the Latin American Self that will be heard by all, so we can make a true and authentic contribution to a Latin American Alterity”

2. It is a challenge and an opportunity for the Development Group to organize and provide the site for this Congress.  It allows us to provide a place of encounter and to work together which will help us to con-form ourselves as a working, development and reflection group within our own diversity.

3. It allows us:

1.  to carve out a space for  Jungian Psychology in Chile and to make it known.
2. to work together within  a common objective,  with other Junguians who do not take part in the Development Group.

“A movement, a process has begun, and this meeting is just the first fruit of what we can reap together”.

“I have proposed to the Scientific Committee and to the Organizing Committee the realization of a Foundational Meeting of what can be initially called the Comité Latinoamericano de Psicología Analítica (CLAPA), in order to spread, deepen and investigate central issues that guide this event, and at the same time give them life. . .”
